Government Funded hours
Naval Under fives offers places for the full range of Government funded childcare support, subject to eligibility and availability at your chosen setting.

30 hours childcare for eligible working families in England
From September 2025, Working parents can access up to 30hrs free childcare per week from the term following their child turning 9 months old. This is subject to the submission of a valid eligibility code. To apply for a code, please visit the Government website:
Eligibility codes must be applied for before the beginning of the qualifying term. Please refer to the table below to check when you may become eligible for funding.

Universal funding for 3 and 4 year olds
If your child does not qualify for the Working Parents funding, you will automatically receive 15 hrs of Universal funding from the term following their 3rd birthday. You do not need to apply in advance for the universal funding.
For children aged 2 years receiving additional forms of support
If your two-year-old does not qualify for the Working Parents funding, you may be eligible for funding via your Local Authority. Please contact the Local Authority of your setting to check your eligibility and to apply for this funding. Eligible children will receive the 15 funded hours from the term following their second birthday. If you qualify, please inform your Setting Manager.

The Government funds up to 30 hours, term time only, for 38 weeks of the year.
It is a condition that a Parental Declaration form is signed and submitted for all children in receipt of Government and Local Authority funding.
Childcare vouchers
We accept all recognised childcare vouchers as way of part or full payment of fees. Unfortunately, this payment option is only available if you are already signed up to Childcare Vouchers scheme due to the Government closing the scheme to new entrants on the 4th October 2018.
Childcare vouchers have been replaced by Tax Free Childcare
Tax Free Childcare
Tax-free childcare is a government scheme that allows all eligible parents of children under 12 – or 17, if your child has a disability – to open an online account to pay for childcare. For every £80 you pay in, the government will pay in an extra £20.
You can save up to £10,000 in a tax-free childcare account (£8000 that you’ve paid in, plus £2000 that the government has paid in) or up to £20,000 (£16,000 that you’ve paid in, plus £4000 that the government has paid in) if your child has a disability.
The eligibility criteria for Tax-Free Childcare is broadly the same as for the 30-hour offer. You can only use Tax-Free Childcare to pay registered childcare providers.
Please note, if you choose to pay via this method, you cannot also pay with childcare vouchers. You can also pay via this method if you are self-employed.

Fees
We accept the Early Years Funding between the hours of 9.00 and 15.00. For additional hours and for families not eligible for any government funding our fees are charged at an hourly rate. This enables us to provide a more flexible offer to meet your requirements: –

Funded childcare – voluntary contributions
It is important to understand that government funding is not intended to cover the full cost of childcare. It does not include essential extras like meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, sun cream and additional hours. If you’re eligible for funding, you are still responsible for these items.
Any additional hours, over and above the funded entitlement will be charged at the rate as shown in the table above.
Additional voluntary contributions of £2.00 per week will be charged for snacks. We ask that you provide a packed lunch and all nappies, wet wipes, nappy sacks and suncream that your child will need.
